It seems I live in this world but everything is pre-recorded. I breathe, think, act and love like an automaton. I can’t scape this sensation that if I focused and looked at the world for what really is I’d fall in the deepest hole. All I can do is go fully automatic.
I’m afraid that if I start to reason and understand, my soul will burn. And all that remains will be the husk of the human being I once was. Empty and consumed. The world is a scary place and I’m not strong enough. I need to disconnect. I need to run away.
